The latest vehicle connectivity solutions demonstrated live in a new Metrocab and Bristol Bullet sports car on stand 7D81
VNC Automotive, the premier supplier of in-car connectivity solutions, today announced that they will feature Frazer-Nash on stand at Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC) to demonstrate the latest vehicle connectivity and telematics applications. The real-time remote access solution developed for the mobile and automotive industry by VNC Automotive will be on display inside two truly unique vehicles, which contain Frazer-Nash systems.
Live demonstrations from VNC Automotive and Frazer-Nash
- Ecotive Metrocab with connectivity for the passenger, driver and operator
- Bristol Bullet delivers a personalized app experience
- Demo area showing a full range of vehicle and mobile connectivity solutions
Powered by Frazer-Nash, the new zero-emission capable Metrocab will be showcasing VNC Automotive’s vehicle connectivity solutions for the benefit of fleet operators, cab drivers and passengers. Visitors will see how passengers can make the most of their time in a cab by securely connecting their phone to a large screen display to access any of their apps ranging from emails to video streaming. The driver can do the same with their phone on the head unit in the front of the cab, safely accessing business apps for scheduling and booking, maps, traffic and weather conditions. VNC Automotive also benefits the fleet operator by allowing the driver to signal an alert using an assistance button. This automatically connects the driver to an operator who, via virtual reality, will know the location, vehicle ID and faults. If the fault is software related, it can be resolved remotely. Otherwise, the vehicle can be booked in the closest available service center for immediate repair.
The limited edition Bristol Bullet celebrates 70 years of Bristol Cars. The Bullet resonates with the visual language of the most iconic Bristol models while embodying modern luxury and technology. The vehicle uses VNC Automotive and Frazer-Nash technologies to enable in-car phone mirroring for the driver. The use of VNC’s innovative technology allows personal apps on the phone to be displayed safely on the car head unit – enhancing the personalised driving experience.
In addition to the compelling in-car connectivity demonstrations running in the Metrocab and Bristol Bullet, a separate demonstration area is available to explain a full range of remote access, mobile, and telematics applications. Connecting your phone with your vehicle, and your vehicle with the rest of world using VNC Automotive is enabling exciting new possibilities for the entire mobile ecosystem.
