9th March 2015: RealVNC®, the original developer and provider of VNC® remote access and control software, will be exhibiting its latest technology at CeBIT in Hannover from 16th to 20th March 2015. The demonstrations will include collaborations with AMD and Intel®, alongside RealVNC’s cloud offering, deskhop.
Announced in September last year, the integration of RealVNC’s VNC connectivity software with the AMD Firepro™ professional graphics card enables users to enjoy an exceptional 3D remote experience on virtually any device. The technology allows users to render large 3D and CAD files, manipulate 4k videos, and even play games wherever they want – without relinquishing the level of detail, speed and creativity required. With minimal latency and optimal bandwidth, the capabilities of this collaboration will be demonstrated at CeBIT using a hybrid VNC deployment with AMD’s Rapidfire API and SDK.
Alongside AMD, RealVNC will also be demonstrating VNC Viewer Plus, the result of a collaboration with Intel which also sees VNC technology embedded into third party products. Computers with particular Intel Core™ vPro™ processors have a VNC-compatible Server embedded directly onto the chip. This enables out-of-band access and control: a connection can even be established if the machine is powered off, or has no functioning operating system.
“As the only organisation able to offer a commercial license to embed VNC technology in third-party products, the collaborations with Intel, AMD, and many others, demonstrate the wide range of applications, and vast potential that our technology has,” said Richard Pickul, Strategic Alliances Manager at RealVNC. “We thoroughly enjoyed attending CeBIT in 2014, and look forward to demonstrating VNC’s versatility and performance again this year.”
The final offering that will be featured in Hannover is RealVNC’s Facebook application deskhop, which allows users to share their own screen with a Facebook friend, or request to take control of a friend’s screen. The solution is quick, secure, and easy to use, with none of the firewall and port-forwarding requirements of traditional peer-to-peer VNC products. As a lightweight screen-sharing application for support, collaborative work and productivity, deskhop demonstrates the cloud capabilities of VNC. It is the perfect tool for the technical wizard who is always responsible for solving friends and family’s IT issues.
RealVNC will be attending CeBIT 2015 from 16th to 20th March, exhibiting in Hall 6, stand A37.
